Why Kanye West and Bianca Censori decided to cause an ‘outrageous’ stir on Grammys red carpet
Can’t tell him nothing.
The reason Kanye West and Bianca Censori decided to put on a scandalous stunt on the 67th Grammy Awards red carpet has been revealed by a celebrity PR expert.
On music’s biggest night, the controversial star’s wife, 30, took off her fur coat in front of a sea of cameras to reveal a sheer, barely-there minidress without a bra or underwear.
And while the ordeal may have seemed like it was an impromptu decision made by the married couple, Hollywood PR expert Quincy Dash believes that the move was carefully thought out by the “Vultures” rapper ahead of time.
“They’re in a business called show business,” Dash, founder of PR firm Quincy Dash Co., exclusively told The Post. “What Kanye understands better than any other celebrity or talent is the game of public relations. His strategy is that all press is good press, and there’s no such thing as bad publicity.”
Dash said that West, 47, went through with this stunt “in order to get dollars in the till.”
“Everyone is talking about it right now. As soon as the stunt happened, he was able to post on his channels about his clothing line,” Dash said. “Something like this works hand in hand with what he’s trying to do. The more outrageous, the more attention-grabbing it is, the more money they make.”
Indeed, just hours after their outing, the 24-time Grammy winner took to Instagram after the controversial photo shoot to share details about his wife’s outfit — or lack thereof.
“Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever My love my best friend My wife,” he wrote alongside a look at the minidress.

According to the expert, Censori, for her part, stands to gain a lot from the scandalous outing.
“She is able to receive a lot of awareness and in the end, get to where she wants to go. At the moment, sex sells… everybody is talking about her,” he said. “Kanye is building her up and building her brand.”
“While we are thinking, ‘Oh wow, this is crazy. What is she doing?’ she is actually going to gain as much as he is, because prior to their relationship, no one knew who she was. Fast forward to today, everyone knows her. She’s getting fame, recognition, and soon she will transition to be able to do what she wants to do,” he said, adding, “It’s a crazy strategy, but it works.”
West, for his part, was dressed in all-black attire, including a plain T-shirt, a pair of black pants and a pair of dark-colored sunglasses.
“This was 100% a successful stunt for them,” Dash added. “Every media outlet is covering this. Everyone is talking about this. It set social media on fire. All publicity is good in Kanye’s eyes, so it’s a win for him.”
On Sunday night, an insider told Page Six that the move “was an attempt to replicate the album cover of ‘Vultures.’”
The cover for West’s 2024 album “Vultures 1” features Censori with nothing on but thigh-high boots and a teeny-tiny piece of fabric.
“Everything is recyclable, it’s part of the strategy,” Dash said of the rapper’s possible attempt at recreating the “Vultures” cover.
“Kanye knows what he’s doing. They’re in a partnership, and they know exactly their roles. She’s in this too, and she understands what she’s about to get. She’s going to gain a lot. This is a game plan like any other launch.”
While there’s been no official word of whether the duo will be slapped with a fine from the Recording Academy for nudity, Dash says the Grammys are no doubt “looking into the case right now.”
The Post has reached out to West’s reps for comment.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2022, have yet to address their shocking appearance, though an expert lip reader has since decoded their exchange on the red carpet.
West was nominated for Best Rap Song for his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign on “Carnival” but ultimately lost to Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us.”
