JD Vance jokes Kamala Harris had ‘four shots of vodka’ before meetings while VP
He’s serving up a double shot of shade.
Vice President JD Vance joked Thursday that his predecessor, Kamala Harris, drank hard liquor on the job — suggesting spirits may be to blame for her notorious “word salads.”
“Well, I don’t have four shots of vodka before every meeting,” Vance laughed in an interview with radio host and Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese.
“That’s one way that I think Kamala really tried to bring herself into the role, is these word salads,” Vance added, “and I think that I would need the help of a lot of alcohol to answer a question like Kamala Harris answered a question.”
Harris, 60, became infamous during her tenure for giving long, meandering answers that bordered on incoherence — with some critics comparing her to a student giving a book report on a book they haven’t read.
Her latest public comments, delivered last week at an AI conference, included a rambling recollection of her ordering Doritos while watching the Oscars.
“We did DoorDash ’cause I wanted Doritos. And the red carpet part was about to start and nobody wanted to leave to go to the grocery store. So it was DoorDash … So I was willing to give up whatever might be the tracking of Kamala Harris’ particular fondness for nacho cheese Doritos for the sake of getting a big bag of Doritos as I watched the Oscars,” she began.
“And that’s right. But here’s the thing: At what point do we also uplift and highlight the consumer’s right to also expect — and you can debate with me if it should be a right — I think it should,” Harris concluded.
The confusing line of thought led some social media users to claim that she was “three glasses of wines deep” during her appearance.
In February, the failed presidential candidate attempted to deliver an inspirational speech to the cast of Broadway’s “A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical.”
“When we think about these moments where we see things that are being taken, but also let’s see it, you know, nature abhors a vacuum,” Harris told the cast.
She went on, “we’re seeing a U-turn right now. For those rights to be maintained which means we have to be vigilant. It’s just the nature of it.”
“We have to be clear-eyed. And it doesn’t mean we don’t see the beauty in everything. These things all co-exist, but I believe we fight for something, not against something.”
Harris has yet to officially announce her future political plans, but she is widely expected to run for governor of California in 2026 — and has set a self-imposed deadline of the end of summer to make a final decision.
