Among active Missouri teams is the St. Louis Blues. The Blues showed flashes during a two-game homestand, picking up wins over the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. A loss to the Edmonton Oilers halted this momentum.
Next up, a pair of road games, starting on Tuesday, Jan. 20, against the Winnipeg Jets. Following that contest, the Blues travel to Dallas and face the Stars on Friday, Jan. 23.
Missouri men’s basketball is now 13-5 overall and 3-2 in SEC conference play, with an 11-0 unbeaten record at Mizzou Arena on the season. The Tigers will play Georgia on Tuesday, Jan. 20, followed by a second home game versus Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 24.
Is sports betting legal in Missouri?
Yes, sports betting is officially legal, and you can now place your legal wagers in the state.
Missouri became the 39th state to legalize sports betting when voters approved Amendment 2 in November 2024, following years of stalled legislative efforts and border envy.
After the federal ban on sports gambling was overturned in 2018, most states moved quickly to regulate betting. Missouri lagged behind — even as nearby Kansas legalized sports wagering in 2022, attracting droves of Missourians crossing state lines to place bets.
Some of the state’s pro sports franchises, including the St. Louis Cardinals, helped push the ballot initiative forward in 2024, arguing that the state was missing out on tax revenue and fan engagement opportunities.
The measure narrowly passed, but the rollout took time.
A hoped-for March Madness launch in early 2025 was shelved after Secretary of State Denny Hoskins rejected emergency rules, saying there was “no true emergency.”
The MGC then opted for a deliberate application process, approving nine sportsbooks and several retail partners leading up to the December 1 launch.
One thing to note: Missouri bars player-prop wagers involving in-state college programs. That means fans eyeing local matchups will find their options trimmed.
