Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell is branching out.
Littrell, along with his wife, Leighanne, have launched their own music label and production company, Brileigh Productions.
The 26-year-old boy-band member said the company will initially focus on starting the label, signing two or three artists in the first year.
The husband-and-wife team will work with Insight Entertainment Group, a Los Angeles- based management and production firm, to produce film and television projects by the end of next year.
“Brileigh will be built upon traditional values that allow passionate, talented artists to freely express themselves in a safe and secure environment,” said Leighanne Littrell, who will be president of Brileigh.
“We want to be a label that considers its artists part of the family, to nurture the creative side of the relationship as well as the business and marketing aspects.”
The company will have offices in Los Angeles as well as Atlanta, where the Littrells live.
Brileigh’s first project will be the soundtrack to the independent film “Olive Juice.” Leighanne Littrell stars in and co-produced the film, which will be released Oct. 9.
The album features cuts from Judith Owen, Joe Pesci and the Backstreet Boys, among others.
Brian Littrell will return to touring with the pop band on Friday. The Boys halted their tour plans to give group member A.J. McLean time to focus on rehab treatment.
