THE Rolling Stones couldn’t do it. Neither could Bon Jovi. For the third straight week, Elvis is still the King of the album charts.
“Elv1s 30 #1 Hits” stormed the charts again with burning love, while Jersey rocker Bon Jovi’s “Bounce” sold 159,800 copies to take the No. 2 spot, according to SoundScan.
The Rolling Stones’ “Forty Licks” slipped one notch to No. 3.
The Elvis hit package is also rattling the globe – selling nearly 6 million copies worldwide and reaching No. 1 in 24 countries.
Veteran rockers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ new disc “Last DJ” also debuted in the top 10, scoring the No. 9 spot.
