A man died in a Sheepshead Bay shooting yesterday, police said. An assailant approached Alex Silva, 27, in front of 3022 Avenue V, pulled a gun and shot him four times in the stomach before fleeing, cops said. Silva, who had a history of arrests, was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died. Six spent shell casings were recovered. Police had not found a suspect or motive.
A woman with blunt trauma injuries to the head was found dead yesterday in an East New York apartment building, police said. The 47-year-old woman was discovered at 4 a.m. in the fifth-floor stairwell of the building at 333 Georgia Ave. In a separate incident, a man was punched in the face on Friday in the same building, police said. A person assaulted the man at 6 p.m. inside the building before fleeing. Police had not found a suspect or motive in either case.
A woman died yesterday after being found unconscious at a Crown Heights apartment building, police said. EMS responded to a call of an “unconscious woman” in a taxi in front of 864 Prospect Place. The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of her family in Detroit, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she died. Police said her death was not suspicious.

Swastikas were found spray-painted on a synagogue in Rockaway yesterday, and cops are investigating the bias incident. The vandalism was discovered on the back wall of Temple Beth-El Synagogue at 121-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd. at around 6 a.m.
Manhattan
A man walked into a Tudor City bank yesterday, slipped a note demanding money to a teller and escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The robbery occurred at around 1 p.m. at the Commerce branch on Third Avenue near East 45th Street. The suspect was described as a black man, 6-foot-1 and 250 pounds.
An off-duty NYPD employee was suspended after being arrested yesterday during a domestic incident, police said. Police Communication Technician Jeffrey Young, assigned to MetroTech Center, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Charges are pending.
Bronx
A California teenager spewed anti-gay insults at a 31-year-old man and threatened him with a knife on a subway platform in the South Bronx, police said. A transit officer busted Manuel Gonzalez, 19, of Long Beach, Calif., at around 5:30 a.m. at the 161st Street Station and charged him with menacing and weapons possession.
