Coop flies with Jolie
Anderson Cooper’s interview with Angelina Jolie scored big numbers on CNN Tuesday night, snaring a winning 1.3 million viewers from 10 p.m. to midnight – and 1.6 million viewers in its first hour. The 1.3 million figure is a 96 percent increase in viewership over Cooper’s seasontodate numbers, and a 218 percent increase in adults 25-54 (the “money” demo in cable news).
During the interview, CNN flashed the phone number for Jolie’s cause, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Since then, the UNHCR donation hotline has seen a spike resulting in over $100,000 in pledges, according to CNN.
