Among the many less-than-credible claims advanced by Paris Hilton during her interview with Larry King last night: that she will begin shooting two movies this summer. Somehow these productions have escaped the notice of the IMDB and the trade papers. Her last two films, “Pledge This!” and “Bottoms Up,” went straight to home video, and I’d be shocked if the low-budget “The Hottie and the Nottie,” which Paris filmed earlier this year, didn’t suffer the same indignity, given that she is established box-office poison. Audiences booed Paris’ appearance in the trailer for “House of Wax,” in which she was less animated than the wax dummies, and cheered when her character was killed off. Hilton’s total ineptitude as an actress was apparent as far back as her infamous porno tape, and based on a performance with King last night that was clearly scripted by her handlers, Paris’ acting skills have only gotten shakier. She couldn’t even convince softball interviewer King of her alleged newfound interest in the Bible. He stumped Paris by asking the celebutard her favorite passage. We’d like to think that Paris’ comatose sort-of-step-grandma Zsa Zsa Gabor, who came off a Fullbright Scholar by comparison when she was working interviewers, was smiling.
