Bryan Fuller, the TV writer/producer responsible for such fantasy series as “Pushing Daisies” and “Heroes,” says he would already be in the planning stages — except for one thing.
The “Star Trek” movies are raking in a fortune right now, and a TV series would threaten that, Fuller says.
The man in charge of the “Star Trek” movie, J.J. Abrams, the creator of “Lost” among other shows, says “no.”
“I don’t think anything is going to happen in any official capacity until after the next movie comes out,” Fuller told Entertainment Weekly’s Web site over the weekend.
