WASHINGTON — President Obama took aim at Mitt Romney’s personal fortune yesterday — telling supporters in Ohio that the Republican candidate’s tax plan was designed to pad his own bottom line.
Obama touted a new study by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center showing that 95 percent of Americans would face an effective tax hike if Romney’s tax-cut plan were enacted in “revenue-neutral” fashion.
Romney’s camp was quick to fire back, saying the study cited by Obama didn’t account for economic growth — something of which they said the president has produced far too little.
