She deserves a degree in advanced chutzpah.
The 21-year-old woman?suing her mom and dad for college tuition was back in court this week, claiming her New Jersey parents should be held in contempt because they refuse to pay.
Caitlyn Ricci filed a motion Monday arguing that her parents, Michael Ricci and Maura McGarvey, violated a judge’s previous decision that forced them to put her through Philadelphia’s Temple University.
They still have not complied with that ruling, her lawyers gripe.
“That’s fine. They can hold me in contempt of court. They can do whatever they want,” Ricci’s father told WPVI-TV. “I’m not going to pay. I’m not going to give them any money until my daughter has a relationship with me and we start to heal our family.”
Ricci hasn’t spoken to her divorced parents for nearly two years, the local ABC affiliate reports.
They claim the only reason they won’t cough up the dough is because Ricci refused to follow their rules.
