A man and a woman are wanted in an Astoria armed robbery, police said. The suspects held up a 28-year-old man in the vicinity of 27th Avenue and took his wallet and iPhone 6 on May 22 at about midnight, authorities said. The muggers fled and later unsuccessfully attempted to make purchases using a stolen credit at the Trade Fair Supermarket on 30th Avenue, police said. The male suspect is seen on surveillance footage wearing a white Phat Farm jacket and a black baseball cap. The female was wearing a gray hoodie.
A man stole a cellphone from an Astoria doctor’s office, police said. A suspect was in the office on 31st Street on June 2 at about 1 p.m. when he grabbed the phone off a desk and fled, police said. The suspect is described as about 38 years old, ?5-foot-7 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white fishing hat.
Three men attacked and robbed a livery cab driver in Woodhaven, according to authorities. The cabby, Jorge Tiban, 62, was responding to a dispatch Wednesday at around 2:45 a.m. when three men approached his vehicle on 96th Street. Tiban got out of the car to assist one of the men with his suitcase and began to open the trunk when the man grabbed him by the throat, police said. The other two men stole $270 in cash and a Tablet from the car before the three robbers fled.
A man is fighting for his life after being badly beaten in College Point Park, authorities said. The 21-year-old victim, identified by sources as Jean-Pierre Villanueva, got into a brawl with another man Wednesday at 6 p.m. and suffered massive head trauma, police said. Witnesses told cops they saw the attacker beat the man unconscious and it did not appear that he used a weapon during the assault. When police arrived, they found the victim unresponsive on the ground and later rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was on a ventilator in critical condition, officials said. The attacker is being sought.
A man was killed Thursday when he was struck by two vehicles as he tried to cross the Whitestone Expressway, authorities said. The 51-year-old was attempting to cross the busy highway near the Linden Place exit when an SUV slammed into him at about 4:30 a.m., police said. He was then struck by a second car which did not stop. The man died at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Police are searching for the driver of the car that fled. Police are hunting for a man who attacked a delivery truck driver with a baseball bat during a road rage incident outside an Astoria hardware store, authorities said. The 43-year-old victim was making a delivery in front of John Stone Hardware Supply on March 25, but his truck was blocking the service road of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, police said. When the driver in the car behind the rig told the trucker to move his vehicle so he could get by, the trucker told him the delivery would take just a few minutes, police said. That’s when the other driver hopped out of his car and hit the trucker with a bat before punching him several times in the face, police said. The truck driver was not seriously hurt. The suspect is described as being in his early 20s, about 6-feet tall and 160 pounds.

Police are looking for two individuals who attempted to rob a Jewish bookstore in Sheepshead Bay. The pair fled after trying to enter Mekor Judaica on Coney Island Avenue on June 9, cops said. The individuals were caught on surveillance video. The first was wearing a jacket over a hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.
A jealous ex-boyfriend shot up a man’s vehicle in Crown Heights, cops said. Ibezimako Iwu was stopped at a red light near Sterling Place and Brooklyn Place Tuesday night when suspect Michael Dumber pulled alongside Iwu’s car and allegedly opened fire, striking the vehicle six tims, sources said. Dumber then fled the scene. Iwu, the current boyfriend of Dumber’s ex, was uninjured.
