Here’s how the new-look Knicks graded out in their debuts:
Derrick Rose: Looked overanxious with four turnovers in the first half and just one assist all game. Had some great moments exploding to the rim but rust was evident as expected.
Grade: C
Courtney Lee: Had a quiet preseason and showed little in his debut, going scoreless, blowing a dunk and logging a minus-19.
Grade: D
Joakim Noah: Leader of the defense, he hasn’t gotten his mates organized. Isn’t here to score but just one shot and no points shows he’s still adapting. Played just 19 minutes.
Grade: C-minus
Brandon Jennings: Was a pitiful shotmaker (1-for-7, 0-for-4 on 3-pointers), didn’t defend well enough and didn’t organize the offense like in preseason.
Grade: D
Jeff Hornacek: Still isn’t drawing up a solid defensive game plan, had a strange five-man bench unit on court that was awful, and could have called an additional timeout during the Cavs’ 20-4 third-quarter game-sealing run.
Grade: D
