A married British educator has been banned for life from teaching for having sex with a 17-year-old student and plying him with X-rated images of herself, according to reports.
Amena Nazam-Khan, 35, also sent the Tong High School student a string of explicit messages — calling herself “Baby” while he was “The A Team,” The Sun reported.
The Bradford woman was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct for the 10-month-long affair, during which she also took the boy out to restaurants, where another student saw the couple.
The National College for Teaching and Leadership professional conduct panel heard that the student told another teacher, Sharanjit Kaur, about the affair but that he waited a month before reporting it.
“I admit that I should have reported the student’s call to me immediately. I accept that I didn’t act promptly and that was wrong,” Kaur wrote the panel, the BBC reported.
During the relationship, which took place between January and October 2015, Nazam-Khan told the student to delete all her messages and “never discuss our relationship [with] anyone.”
The panel said it did “not consider that Mrs. Nazam-Khan has shown any remorse for her actions and the impact upon the pupil; her remorse is largely for the impact upon her family and herself,” the BBC reported.
Kaur, who faced no sanctions, left the school in March 2016.
