An off-duty NYPD cop was beaten in a random, unprovoked attack last week, cops and sources said Sunday.
The unidentified 29-year-old officer was walking his dog on Williams Court and East 11th Street in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn at 9 a.m. Thursday when he was approached from behind by his would-be assailant, cops said.
The attacker threatened, in Russian, to “f–k him up” – right before bashing the cop about the head and face with an unknown object, cops said.
The off-duty cop — who also speaks Russian — and his attacker were not known to one another prior to the frightening assault, sources said.
The officer suffered a fractured cheek bone and several lacerations to the head and face, and was transported to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
“The cop got really f—-d up,” according to police sources.
The suspect, described by cops as a male, White, thin build with blond hair, in his twenties, approximately 5′ 6″ and 170lbs, was last seen wearing a tan sweater – fled in an unknown direction.
