A woman punched her 81-year-old roommate in their Greenwich Village apartment — then slapped a cop while in custody, according to police and law enforcement sources.
Alyssa Begay, 23, was returning to her building on East 9th Street near University Place around 4:30 a.m. Thursday when a woman identified by police sources as her roommate was trying to leave, cops said.
The pair got into an argument, the sources said.
During the squabble, Begay punched the senior in the right side of the face, cops said.
The victim refused medical attention on scene.
Responding officers arrested Begay.
As she was being processed in the cell area at the Sixth Precinct, she slapped a male cop on the right side of the face, cops said. The officer refused medical attention, police said.
Begay was charged with two counts of felony assault, cops said.
She has no prior arrests, according to police sources.
