One of India’s biggest stars is headed stateside.
A.R. Rahman just announced his 2025 ‘The Wonderment Tour’ that will send him to 16 arenas and theaters all over North America this summer.
Toward the end of the run, the 58-year-old Oscar winner, whose songs in Hindi, Tamil, and English effortlessly blend classical Indian traditions with contemporary electronic sounds, is scheduled to make a stop at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Prior to this jaunt, Rahman last performed in the U.S. in 2022. Based on our findings at Set List FM, he took well-known hits like “Jai Ho” and “O Saya” — both of which you may recall from 2009 Best Picture winner “Slumdog Millionaire” — to the stage that time around along with our favorite “Chaiyya Chaiyya.”
Although we don’t know exactly what the composer and songwriter has in store for ‘The Wonderment Tour’ (in the intervening three years, he has composed a whopping 13 film soundtracks) we do know the best way to find out is live.
