These two really are the lowest of the low.
Cops in Moore busted two thugs allegedly looting homes destroyed by the deadly F-5 twister that flattened the Oklahoma City suburb on Monday afternoon.
The fiendish pair were arrested last night after the home’s owner saw the men going through the rubble, according to local CBS affiliate KWTV.
The suspects reportedly told the man they were searching for survivors.
When the homeowner realized the pair had pocketed his belongings, he call cops, the station reported.
Officers found another bag of items the two allegedly pilfered from other flattened homes in the neighborhood.
At least 24 people were killed and hundreds more injured when the two-mile tornado struck the town of 56,000.
Authorities told KWTV they are working to avoid looters.
The station reports the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner is working to create a badge system that will have residents’ photos on them to help with security.
The badges will reportedly be good for 90 days.
