Jill Brooke, author of “Just Say No,” has said “yes” — to a new job as a travel magazine editor-in-chief, our Keith J. Kelly reports.
Adam Rodriguez, who created Travel Savvy, sold it to Grey Goose magnate Sydney Frank and then left to breathe new life into Business Traveler magazine, started Premier Traveler three years ago. Now he is reuniting with Brooke, who was EIC at Travel Savvy, to take on the same role at Premier Traveler.
Brooke said she plans to help expand Premier Travel’s print and Web brand by introducing more business-conference coverage with opportunities for learning seminars.
She is also adding a new column called “2Days,” which shows how to expand business trips by two days and find fun things for your kids or spouse to do.
“I needed someone who could wear many hats,” says Rodriguez. “Jill has worked in print, TV and on websites. Today a media company needs someone to be multifaceted and quick.”
